Music originally commissioned as the installation score for the nationwide Japanese exhibition Quest for the Lost Civilization, based on Graham Hancock’s #1 best-selling book Fingerprints of the Gods. Featuring narrative audio-routes traversing the globe, and a visit to locales where the gods left their fingerprints. Musically enacting the cataclysmic vanishing of a continent beneath the polar ice, the subsequent survival of “The Oblivion Brotherhood”, their “astrologarhythmic” calculations of the constellations, their trails through terrorizing cosmic squalls, and their eventual arrival on distant shores. Music portraying the rarefied air of an ancient Andean megalopolis; the dense forests inhabited by the spectre of the sacred jaguar and plumed serpent of the Maya; entombed Egyptian environs; the sonar rhythm-reefs of a sunken Eastern citadel; the planetary precession through the galactic void; and the Hopi Indians’ doomsday prophecies of the final days of the world.
Included in the packaging is a rare reproduction of a Japanese 18th century wood-cut print map of the world and a series of exquisite montages designed from the photographs of Santha Faiia.
